I would run away but hide somewhere close, if a giant (depending on size, but possibly more than 20 feet tall) were walking by, I don't think I could stand a chance by running nonstop. It would seem like the most common sense thing to do, but if there was more than one person nearby, and I deeply cared about them, I would run to warn them and somehow distract the giant.
